Modern Warfare 2 - DLC Stimulus Package Preview
The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map pack will finally be available to download on Xbox Live. This follows the exclusivity deal announced by Microsoft at E3 2009 which will see 360 gamers getting the opportunity to play the new maps ahead of their PS3 and PC counterparts.
Dubbed the “Stimulus Package”, it will contain 3 three new maps ‘Bailout’, ‘Storm’, ‘Salvage’ and two classic fan favourites from the original Modern Warfare ‘Crash’ and ‘Overgrown’ from the original Modern Warfare game which have been “reworked” and graphically touched up.
Not for the first time in the relatively short history of Modern Warfafre 2, gamers have vented their frustration at publisher Activision for the hiked DLC price of 1200 Microsoft Points which is the equivalent of £10 or $15. That however according to Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling will not stop millions of Xbox Live users downloading the new maps insisting “Regardless of what the price is you’re going to feel your money’s well-spent.”
The stimulus package is available for download via Xbox Live on March 30th with PS3 and other platforms getting the new map pack on the April 30th. Peak the new maps below.
